I had one screw left when I finished mine and your photos and narrative helped me figure out where it went!Cathy Brileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08328257138206278016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5233737287046446899.post-16265914548915996952017-05-10T17:52:59.159-04:002017-05-10T17:52:59.159-04:00"Please excuse my lack of correct sewing mach..."Please excuse my lack of correct sewing machine part terminology. I'm doing this without any kinda formal training, so to me most parts are still "doohickeys" and "goddamn metal bits."<br />I just about spit my tea out laughing so hard. We are kindred spirits. Thank you for posting and thanks for the easy to understand instructions and descriptions Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16193490007925147133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5233737287046446899.post-18675938030735664952014-01-24T13:45:23.245-05:002014-01-24T13:45:23.245-05:00Thanks so much for this post. I hope you don't mind, but I thought this post was too great not to share. I linked to it from several pages my blog "The Elusive Bobbin". I look forward to exploring your other posts. Thanks againAmy https://www.blogger.com/profile/17974676489042581874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5233737287046446899.post-14269888392060620862012-06-13T16:51:02.764-04:002012-06-13T16:51:02.764-04:00Wow, thank YOU! And it's also nice to think that the original owners of these machines would like to see them still being used! I bet your great great grandma would be happy you are using her machine, even if it gets a little more worn in the process.Clairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00138298056255020101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5233737287046446899.post-84896425063538347792012-06-13T09:49:11.347-04:002012-06-13T09:49:11.347-04:00Hi, I came over from Sew Retro, and I have to tell...Hi, I came over from Sew Retro, and I have to tell you "THANK YOU" for this. I have a Singer 66 that was my great-great grandmother's, and touching it scares me to death. The day I got it, I accidentally used the wrong screw to put the machine in the table and spit the wood a little, fixable, but it has forever made me terrified of doing worse damage to it. You are taking the fear away, a little at a time. Thank you. :)Miss Tessa Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04802285182060664460noreply@blogger.com
